Why Place Branding?

More and more locations are realizing the benefits to branding their "place" and establishing their location as a special destination, with unique community, business, experiences, landmarks and nature, and offerings.

Place branding:

  • Accelerates awareness of a city’s purpose and message - to its residents and those considering investing in the community.

  • Shows the benefits and strengths as communities, and tells your town's special narrative.

  • Provides the emotional glue citizens need to see and feel the spirit and direction of the town.

  • Presents a warm, professional and appealing face to the world.

Your brand is more than just a logo. It’s how you think and feel about your town, and how you tell your story. Branding helps to answer what it means to love, work, or visit a place. And telling your brand narrative, both visually and through your messaging, connects the brand to everyone who shares this vision.

It’s important that those involved in building the brand for a place know the “what and why” of their brand, so that they can be good brand ambassadors - by standing behind heir messaging a story, and educating others.
