Madison Hidden Figures

Client: Hidden Figures of Madison NJ

Scope: Logo revise, Banners, Flyer and Postcard for print and web, Website elements, Social Media Banner

The Hidden Figures of Madison program is "Shining a light on Madison, NJ’s community members’ untold stories through visual arts and literature created by the Madison Public School District students. Students’ work will connect their stories to our history."

I enjoyed working with and learning from a wonderful team, and contributing my design work. Banners of twenty four Madison Hidden Figures community members and families were featured on lampposts hanging throughout the downtown, with QR codes on the posts to connect to the website that tells their stories. You can read more about the project on the Hidden Figures website: https://www.hiddenfiguresmadison.org

The Project: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A collaboration with educator Kenisha Tucker and textile artist Sharela May Coon-Bonfield whose roots spring from Madison, and committee, The Hidden Figures of Madison project will create a space where Madison, NJ residents can learn about their town from the perspective of notable Blacks and under-represented members of our community who have added to the fabric of Madison and our nation. The event will include peer-created art, music, and literature inspired by the hidden figures woven into the Madison community fabric.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
